Steven Lafferty is a 2nd Assistant Director with the Directors Guild of America. With over 20 years of experience, he has worked on a variety of shows from Academy Award winning The Fighter to Emmy winning The Wire. He has also worked on independent films such as Till and The English Teacher. “A handful of people, when I was young and new to the business, took me under their wing, educated me, trained me, and gave me opportunity as my career has progressed. I’ve had a desire to give people similar opportunities to learn and get into the business.”
Renee Marsella is a 2nd Assistant Director with the Directors Guild of America. She has 20 years of experience working in film and television production, working her way up through the PA world to eventually join the DGA. She has worked on shows varying from American Horror Story to The Blacklist, and films from Leaves of Grass to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. “I wanted to help new PAs succeed on their first day and beyond, improve PAs’ knowledge as they advance to become ADs, and wanted to help cultivate the sense of community between ADs and PAs.”
We created the Go For Channel 1 website as a way of bringing our filming community together to find staff easier, and to provide help and guidance where we can.
